Status: NEW OLD STOCK (NOS)
You are looking at an original vintage New Old Stock 1976 Mu-tron Bi-Phase phase shifter purchased by us, M.E.S. Music Equipment Sales Ltd. as an authorized Musitronics Dealer. This powerful phase shifter was delivered to us in July 1976 and has never been sold! It's been waiting for you for over 40 years... Unbelievable!!!
Accompanying images accurately describe the Bi-phase's appearance... I would rate it a conservative 9.5 out of 10 AND, it works great... The best I've heard!

About the Mu-tron Bi-Phase from Wikipedia:
Phaser effects were common in the 1970s, but the Mu-tron Bi-Phase combined two phase shifting circuits. In its time, it was the preferred "phaser-lover's 'phasor'". It used technology from the old Univox Uni-Vibe , with lamps and photo cells , and featuring two independent sweep generators which could be coupled, each with individual rate controls and the option to choose square or sine waves . The unit could be connected to an optional rocking foot pedal (not included here) so that the effect could be operated in the samemanner as a wah-wah pedal. It was used by The Smashing Pumpkins as an integral part in achieving the "pumpkins sound" for the 1993 album Siamese Dream: "This is one of the secrets to our secret sound. This is the Mu-tron Bi-Phase. We run everything through it - everything. It's fabulous", said producer Butch Vig.
