You are looking an early (February?) 1982 pre-owned Westone Thunder 1 Vers. 2 solid body electric guitar. Like any 24 year old instrument, this Thunder 1 shows the signs of wear of a well-played guitar, BUT with no undue abuse... Over all, I would rate this Westone a solid 7 out of 10. It has been recently set up and plays and sounds very good. Everything works properly. The only issue I can see are the three brass knobs that have been replaced many years ago by the non-descript plastic ones you see here...
As you can see, this guitar has been modified with a Roland GK-2 hexaphonic MIDI pickup. This, too, is in good working order... All you need to implement the GK-2 is a MIDI Guitar Interface, GK-2 interface cable and the MIDI Sound Module of your choice... If you have been toying with the idea of entering the world of MIDI guitar, but have been reticent to modify your number 1 guitar, this could me a great opportunity to realize that goal...
Some of the features of this Westone Thunder 1 Vers. 2 are ash body with laminated maple and walnut center stripes, three piece laminated maple bolt (screw)-on neck, cream colored Shadow Humbucking Pickups, Brass bridge and top-nut, die cast machine heads and thru-body stringing... The color is Light Oak...
