You are looking at our classic New Old Stock Roland MKS-20 Digital Piano module. It has never been sold. Purchased by us, M.E.S. Music Equipment Sales Ltd. , from Roland as an authorized dealer in March 1986, it was somehow overlooked and remained on a shelf for 29 years. The serial number is 630345. Sounds great, looks great, IS great... I would rate this MKS-20 a 9.0 out of 10... As with most musical gear in the 1980's, this MKS-20 is VERY robustly built using a heavy steel case and a high component count.
The Roland MKS-20 Digital Piano module was arguably one of the best sounding digital acoustical sound modules of the mid 1980's. It was one of the more expensive sound modules of the era. Even today, it is a highly respected unit that has had a home in many keyboardists' racks. It is a particular favorite of musicians in the field of Gospel Music. The MKS-20 features Roland's Structured Adaptive ® (SA) sound synthesis technology to accurately reproduce the sound and dynamics of all 88 keys of an acoustical piano. If you cover hits of the '80's, this MKS-20 Digital Piano Module could be perfect for you... Its' distinctive sound sits very nicely in the mix, sometimes better than a real piano, especially if you add an extra touch of reverb and delay.
Some of the MKS-20 features are: three acoustic piano sounds, Harpsichord, Clav, Vibraphone and two electric pianos... Each bank can have 8 user-created variations stored. These custom sounds may be off-loaded to a Roland M-16C memory cartridge. Effects include Chorus, Tremolo and Equalization...
Included with this MKS-20 is the original carton with foam inserts, a pristine Owner's Manual, MIDI guide book, one original Roland MIDI cable, two original Roland signal cables (all cables factory plastic) AND the AC cord...
