Here's a brand new old stock vintage Shure R65 Unisphere® 1 dynamic microphone cartridge. Typically used in Shure Model 565, 566 and PE56 mikes. Accompanying images accurately describe it's appearance. I would rate it a 9½ out of 10...

The Unishere 1 family of Shure dynamic microphones along with cartridhe R65 was first introduced in 1967 and continued until the itroduction of the SM58 in 1974.

Some information about this 545S:

• The original hex nut was lost. A non-Shure 5/16-24 nut was installed in it's place.
• The original mic cable was lost as well. The replacement is a much superior new BRTB Canada Xcalibur Series XM-25 Lo-Z mike cable. Images accurately describe it. A genuine Shure by Amphenol MC4M 4 pin connector was used on the mike end.
• Typically, many 545s Pistol Grip mikes suffer from having the threads in the stand mounting socket stripped. This is NOT the case with this piece. This 545s threads just about as smoothly onto a mike stand as it did the day it was built.
• This is a mike from the early 1960's with Patent Pending and Made in U.S.A. on the switch pedestal..
  
  Many parts for these vintage Shure mikes are almost impossible to find. In particular the original Shure 3 and 4 pin mic (Amphenol MC3M & MC4M) connectors and the 5/16-24 thin wall hex nut (made expressly for Shure) used in the 545S.
