You are looking at a brand new NEW OLD
STOCK Electro-Voice RE16 Single-D Dynamic Super Cardioid Microphone.
Here is your opportunity to own a vintage classic Electro-Voice
microphone in impeccable condition, both physically and operationally.
They just don't come any better. It turned up during a
recent inventory, languishing on a shelf in our warehouse. We
purchased this mike in July 1977... Somehow it was
ignored until today. What you are seeing here are images
of the actual microphone and accessories that we are selling. They
are un-retouched. Everything
is in excellent condition... a 9.5 out of 10.
The RE16 is a favorite of producers,
engineers and artists in many recording, broadcast studios
and on stage. Being a
true super cardioid mike, the RE16 offers maximum audio rejection
at 150º off axis (typical cardioids are 180º). Unlike
a typical cardioid mike, the E-V Variable-D design provides frequency
response independent of the angular location of the sound source.
That means virtually NO sound coloration on or off axis. Similar
to the RE15, the RE16 features a unique blast filter to reduce
wind noise and "p-popping". A hum-bucking coil
along with the machined steel outer casing helps to insure the
rejection of hum under the most demanding of conditions.
Another handy design feature of the RE16
is the Bass Roll Off Switch. Low end can be rolled off 6 db between 1000Hz and
100Hz. This may be used to compensate for room boominess
in some situations and excessive rumble from 'live' stages in
other instances.
Not included is the original
brown E-V mike cable.
